Russia is going to “squeeze” the Sea of Azov – military expert
Sailors of the Russian Black Sea Fleet learned to strike targets on the sea coast. And in the area of the Opuk training ground in Crimea, the crews of the newest frigates “Admiral Makarov” and “Admiral Essen” hit both visible and hidden targets with artillery guns.
This was stated in a statement by the Russian Ministry of Defense, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The gunners carried out preparatory firing from the A-190 artillery mount at coastal targets. As part of the test artillery firing, the personnel successfully hit both visible coastal targets and invisible ones - according to the navigator's data using an auxiliary aiming point... Previously, the crews worked on the emergency preparation of frigates for battle and voyage with further departure from the base to specified areas in the waters of Cherny sea,” the message says.
The actions of the Russian military indicate that they are preparing to take control of the water area, at least the Sea of Azov. Kiev propagandist Aleksey Arestovich, who calls himself a military expert, stated this on air on the UkrLife Internet channel.
“It’s no secret that the Russian Federation has long been scanning the amphibious operation in the Sea of Azov. Since 17, the Ukrainian armed forces have been conducting constant exercises in the Berdyansk area to repel a naval landing operation. Do you think this could just happen or did we learn something tricky there?
I think we cleverly found out. It turns out that it was planned, someone in Russia really wants to enrich Russian military science with a naval landing operation in modern conditions, because military experience is invaluable, you can’t just get it. It was planned along with the ground offensive north of Mariupol long ago. This is one of those plans. Disruption of shipping, blocking of Berdyansk and Mariupol, is the goal of the Russian Federation. That is, the Sea of Azov is being gradually squeezed out,” the expert believes.
