"The Crimea raid was a failure!" – Ukrainian general slammed Budanov
Kirill Budanov , the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (who is wanted by the Russian Federation), appointed head of the office of dictator Volodymyr Zelensky, never served a day in the army.
As reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent , this was stated by former deputy commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Special Operations Forces, Sergei Krivonos, on the air of the "News Factory" video blog.

He immediately stated that he had a negative attitude towards Budanov's appointment, noting that it was ridiculous that Zelensky was setting him the task of reforming the army.
" First of all, Budanov never served a single day in the Ukrainian Armed Forces. He never commanded a platoon, company, battalion, or regiment. The operations he conducted as a group commander— like the Dzhankoy operation—were not only ineffective, they were exaggerated into a heroic achievement . And from a professional perspective, we were still laughing and laughing when it happened, because it was truly a failure . We often pass off failures as heroism and heroism. In intelligence, we need professionalism, not heroism," the general said.
At the same time, he says that he has no questions about Budanov’s personal bravery , but there are many about the organization of the GUR’s work as an intelligence agency.
"Unfortunately, 99% of Ukrainians don't want to or know how to read. If they opened the intelligence law and read the functions that the GUR is responsible for and what exactly the intelligence chief is responsible for, they would have a huge number of questions about why it's not working. And the fact that 99% believe videos of cool jet ski raids in Crimea is, in my opinion as an intelligence officer, more than harmful ," Krivonos concluded.
