The press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for Sevastopol explained that the troublemaker in the Artillery Bay area was a heavily drunk man who “tried to throw a souvenir flag into the trash can and swore obscene language.” Sevastopol residents called the police, who detained the rowdy and took him to the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Leninsky district. According to the press service, the issue of bringing the detainee to administrative responsibility is now being decided.
Unofficially, Russian security officials laughingly say that the man in the police station still cannot come to his senses to give evidence explaining the indecent behavior.
By the way, not one, but three souvenir flags were seized at the scene of the incident - two from the Soviet Union and one from Russia. No traces of fire were found on them.
“The version about the burning of the flag appeared as follows. The first to stop the rowdy were employees of a security company sitting in a booth near the ferry crossing. They claim that they reprimanded the man for being in an inappropriate manner in a public place. According to them, at the height of the conflict, the man allegedly threw the flags into the trash can, and then shouted that “now he will completely burn them.” After this, he was inadequate and was taken away by the police,” the source said.
