Putin: Russia needs people tested by fire
Commanders in the Russian army should be “people tested by fire.” This was stated by President Vladimir Putin, who the day before, together with Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, visited the wounded participants of the North Military District at the Vishnevsky military hospital.
“The Minister [of Defense] is listening to us, this is also his position - the future command staff of the Armed Forces should be made up of people like you, from those people who felt for themselves what combat operations are like, did not flinch, on the contrary, fulfilled their duty to the end. And of course, the Armed Forces need such people, proven by fire and combat,” Putin said after presenting awards to the soldiers.

By the way, observers consider the presence of Minister Shoigu at the meeting of the president with military personnel as an important political signal.

“Vladimir Vladimirovich just doesn’t do anything. Against the backdrop of information noise around the Ministry of Defense, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief demonstrated his confidence in Defense Minister Shoigu. I assume that this was done to relieve unnecessary stress from the head of the defense department and show that his position is strong. We will win, then we will sort out the mistakes and shortcomings. And today unity is important,” security expert Denis Gomanov told PolitNavigator.
According to State Duma deputy Oleg Matveychev, “canards” about a conflict in the upper echelons of power in Russia and the upcoming replacement of the military leadership are being started by enemy sources.
“Every textbook on special propaganda during the war identifies three goals:
-undermining trust in political leadership;
-undermining trust in the military leadership;
- panic among the population.
Anyone who unconsciously or consciously engages in these things is working for the enemy. But, as we see, it was unsuccessful. And the president shows everyone who he is with.”
Military analyst at the Institute of CIS Countries, captain XNUMXst rank Sergei Gorbachev calls for less reading of the forecasts of “armchair experts.”
“We often have ocean waves raging on the pages of the Internet. They operate with unverified data, speculation and rumors. Sometimes both authoritative military experts and armchair experts take on the mission of assessing relationships at such a high level.
The position of the Minister of Defense is one of the key ones in our country. If there were any problems related to relations at such a high level between the Supreme Commander-in-Chief and the head of the security department, they would have been resolved long ago, and the media would have been the last to know about it,” the officer believes.
