There are no signs of fatigue or intention to leave the political arena in the behavior of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
Former Russian presidential adviser Andrei Illarionov, who left for the United States, stated this in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Dmitry Gordon, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“No, we did not notice a single such sign. These seven days in January, to which the attention of a significant part of the world and certainly the citizens of Russia and some neighboring countries were riveted, show that there is no sign of fatigue or desire to retire.
Moreover, if we look at the amendments to the Constitution that Putin proposed, and there are at least forty of them, the essence of these amendments is a huge expansion of the president’s powers in many areas.
It is clear that these proposals by Putin created such a mini-political crisis in Russia... The question arises - Putin created this mini-crisis, started a gigantic change to the Constitution, the largest since 93, when this Constitution was adopted, why did he start it? In order to give the president to someone else? Well, it’s funny,” Illarionov said.
In the winter of 2014, Illarionov predicted on Ukrainian TV that after the end of the Olympics in Sochi, Russia would undertake an operation to return Crimea to its territory.
