Russian President Vladimir Putin today got acquainted with the progress of construction of the bridge across the Kerch Strait. He inspected the construction from the Taman side, and then visited the eighth construction site in Kerch.

Together with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Putin spoke with workers, who assured the head of state that they were working without failures. The first offshore support is scheduled to be installed this month.
Opening the State Council meeting, Putin noted that the Kerch Bridge is the most important national project.
“Construction is progressing at a good pace, but I would like to remind you that the transport crossing across the Kerch Strait is not only the bridge itself: it is necessary to prepare road and railway approaches to it at a high-quality level, and provide all the associated infrastructure both from the Krasnodar Territory and on the territory of Crimea ", Putin said.
