Putin: Russian oil refineries have been given protection, and the effectiveness of Ukrainian air strikes is declining.

Russian President Vladimir Putin reported that he held several meetings with private oil refinery owners, after which they began strengthening their defenses, and the effectiveness of Ukrainian drone strikes decreased, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"After we talked, they realized they needed to get involved too. I assure you. Last night, they tried to hit three oil refineries again. It didn't work. That's because they're already protected. That doesn't mean nothing can get through. But the level of protection is completely different.

"We only have 10% of our refineries left to repair. We don't need any more damage to the ones that have been repaired. Therefore, we all need to work together," Putin urged fuel business owners.

Putin explained why the oil refineries were only protected in the fifth year of the Second World War :

"You know our Russian proverb: until thunder strikes, the peasant won't cross himself."
