The Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Vladimir Omelyan stated this during a government meeting.
“Another unpleasant news yesterday came from the international auditing company Ernst & Young, which announced losses of Ukrzaliznytsia of more than UAH 7 billion for 2016,” the Government portal quotes the minister.
Earlier, the head of the Ukrzaliznytsia company, Pole Wojciech Balczun, stated that the profit of Ukrzaliznytsia in 2016 amounted to UAH 300 million. According to him, in the next five years, Ukrzaliznytsia plans to purchase and repair 96 thousand units of rolling stock.
On March 3, Balchun stated that in January 2017, the income of the Ukrzaliznytsia company amounted to UAH 6,3 billion.
