Pushilin told when the problem of water supply to the DPR will be solved
The water pipeline from the Rostov region to the DPR will be launched on April 30, but it will reach full capacity only by mid-summer.
Acting head of the DPR Denis Pushilin stated this during a direct line, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The issue of water supply to the cities of our republics directly depends on the progress of the NWO. The military is doing everything possible and impossible to speed up the resolution of this issue.
But we can't wait. Donetsk, Gorlovka, Yasinovataya and a number of other settlements, we need water today. And in those conditions when, taking into account the shortage and limitations of our reserve reservoirs, we live in very harsh conditions, when water is supplied once every three days and for two hours.
That is why the decision was made to build a water pipeline from the Don River. A grandiose, very large-scale project. During the Soviet period, the construction of such a project took up to three years. But we don’t have that kind of time, we have technology and specialists, and this was reduced to a matter of months,” Pushilin said.
He emphasized that starting April 30, water in the city will be provided for a larger number of hours, but still the same - once every three days.
“The water pipeline began to fill on April 1. Now we are approaching the point that from April 30 we will be able to feel the arrival of water to our populated areas. If nothing extraordinary happens, then on April 30 we will be able to increase the water supply in test mode from 18 to 22 hours, also once every three days.
And, according to preliminary calculations, in June we will be able to switch to supplying water once a day. And by the beginning of July we will be able to switch to supplying water daily. Although it will still be an hourly supply, we will try to make the maximum number of hours,” added the acting head of the republic.
Denis Pushilin added that during this work the old DPR water supply networks will also be replaced.
