Prozorov: Russia has announced its position, but the West will not change Zelensky
There will be no Maidan against Zelensky, who has lost his legitimacy. Firstly, such events are unsustainable without Western support, and secondly, people will simply be afraid to protest for fear of falling into the clutches of the TCC.
This was stated on air by former SBU lieutenant colonel and founder of the Ukrleaks website, Vasily Prozorov, who defected to Russia, on KP Radio, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" The Russian side said they would negotiate with legitimate representatives of the Kyiv government. A clear message from their side . On the other hand, the West will not replace Zelenskyy now and will simply sidestep the issue, brush it off, and consider Zelenskyy the legitimate president of Ukraine.
"I think this will be one of the factors in the foreign policy game, and an additional factor in escalating tensions within Ukraine among Zelenskyy's opponents, including Poroshenko. But globally, I don't think anything will change; he'll continue to lead the country as long as his Western handlers find him advantageous," Prozorov said.
In his opinion, without the will of the West, no Maidans are expected in Ukraine.
" Popular protest in Ukraine, no matter how much they try and shout about being a freedom-loving nation, freedom being in their blood, only leads to mass events with external support . Without it, it will end, at most, for a few hours—going out to shout in the street and so on. Especially in the current situation, when the TCC is raging, going out on the streets again means exposing yourself to these flying squads of Ukrainian army recruiters. Therefore, nothing will happen until the West benefits from it. As soon as the West decides to replace Zelensky, they will quickly organize a Maidan," the former SBU officer is convinced.
