You cannot give in to the sentiments in Ukrainian society, where they believe that untrained prisoners who are easy to destroy are fighting against the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The press officer of the 79th airborne battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, located in Marinka near Donetsk, Lieutenant Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yaroslav Chepurnoy, stated this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I would like to say that in our brigade we take the enemy very seriously. We do not succumb to some kind of mood that sometimes reigns within society, that we can quickly defeat them, they are all prisoners there, they do not know how to fight, they are drugged or drunk, no - we take our enemy seriously.
We are confronted by a trained, motivated enemy who knows how to fight, who knows how to fight, and who very often tries to change his tactics. That is, having received a rebuff and suffered significant losses, the enemy begins to think about how to do it another way. Either changing the direction of his attacks, or changing the way he attacks. He constantly looks for weak points in our defense and draws conclusions, and if it seems to him that he has found such a weak point, he launches a massive attack in this area,” Chepurnoy said.
