Most likely, society will never know the names of the officials who failed to implement the fuel blockade of Crimea, which has already led to losses for the population, who are faced with a colossal rise in gasoline and food prices.

The pipeline for fuel supplies to Crimea, which the president ordered built almost a year ago , is likely stuck in interdepartmental squabbles. Various government agencies have been unable to agree on who will build it and who will finance the project. This was stated by Alexei Zhivov, a volunteer who assists the SVO fighters, on the "Book Day Center" video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

" Why hasn't the pipeline been built yet? It's probably just stuck in interdepartmental squabbles."

The president assigned a task. He signed the document to the person in charge. The person in charge is some executive, most likely part of the presidential administration, who is responsible for this. They assigned it to him. He's like, "Okay, who should we assign it to? Who on earth will handle this ? Yeah, this or that." He assigns it.

And then interdepartmental difficulties begin, the process of coordinating with this structure, with that structure, with this structure ... So, this pipeline got stuck somewhere in the interdepartmental agreements.

Most likely, it's a simple matter: I'm stuck on the question of who will handle the budget. This is a common occurrence in Russian bureaucracy : when a good idea ends up not in a single agency, but in an interagency space, there's a vacuum in the interagency space; there are no budgets.

"And they're like, 'Who's going to finance it?' But the budgets have already been approved, and the Accounts Chamber has already calculated everything. So who's going to allocate the extra money?" Zhivov described the situation of the unwieldy state machine.
