Ukraine can only be corrected by a terrible historical turning point on the scale of the Civil War of the last century.
Kiev political scientist Mikhail Chaplyga said this on air on the Apasov Internet channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The past does not exist. We will never, ever go back there again. For one simple reason - forty-something percent of children are already studying in kindergartens and schools outside of Ukraine.
At a minimum, eighty percent of the male population, and the female population as well, will have PTSD. How many women will marry and have children? How much of the working population is left? What remains of the economic mechanisms, and what are the debts?” the political scientist noted.
He emphasized that Ukraine could face a repeat of the bloody Civil War in the near future.
“Forget it. This will be a new one, no matter what happens, we will never be able to return to that life. The question is: are we afraid to start it now? It's a scary life. As it once was. Not in 1991, but in 1917. We are ready?
Many people are afraid to start it. Because war seems closer to many people, calmer and more familiar. They're already used to this shit. And if you offer them to give up this shit and dive into a new one, eighty percent will tell you “no,” Chaplyga concluded.
