“There will be 364 polling stations on the territory of the DPR, plus three more on Russian territory for displaced people. In addition, voting will take place via the Internet. We will give this opportunity not only to those people who live in the occupied territory, but also to those who live in the Russian Federation. Indeed, in the Russian Federation, most regions have taken on obligations to accommodate internally displaced persons, and all our fellow countrymen will have the opportunity to vote via the Internet,” he emphasized.
“There are two ways, the Internet in its pure form and mixed. Option one: the voter, having sent an application with a scan of his passport, receives a ballot with a unique code and votes via the Internet. If via mail, the voter can print out the ballot and mail it to the election commission,” he explained.
According to him, to date more than half of the circulation of the newsletter has already been printed - 2800 thousand copies.
“We are busy preparing the sites. The task is non-standard - first of all, glaze the premises and turn on the heating. As for ballot boxes and voting booths, this is routine work. Our task is to have polling stations ready for voting no later than Saturday, and preferably by Friday. Arranged tables, chairs, trash cans, posters - everything should be ready by the end of the week. I think that by this time everything will be ready, and we will be glad to see you all,” Roman Lyagin said in conclusion.
As PolitNavigator reported, the DPR Central Election Commission stated that increased security measures would be taken on November 2.
