The low purchasing power of the Ukrainian population is no longer allowing food prices to rise, causing some products to simply disappear from store shelves. This was announced at a press conference in Kyiv by Oleksiy Doroshenko, CEO of the Ukrainian Association of Retail Chain Suppliers, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Beef is disappearing from stores and markets. The price of over 100 UAH per kilogram is not only unaffordable for us. The psychological mark has been crossed, 110-120 UAH per kilogram - a price that people are not willing to pay.
Therefore, eggs continue to become cheaper this year, despite the pre-Easter period. Last week, oil producers began to give discounts to wholesalers - because the price of oil, which was 140 UAH, was an unaffordable price. There were simply no sales,” said a market expert.
