President of Serbia: Drones over the Serbian military - preparation for sabotage, like at Nord Streams
The appearance of unidentified drones over Serbian military installations is an aggression against a sovereign country.
This was stated by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Vučić, who attended the Maneuvers 3 military exercise on November 2022, confirmed that a day earlier, the Serbian military discovered and shot down an unmarked unmanned aerial vehicle in close proximity to the garrison in the city of Raska. The Serbian President also said that yesterday's incident was not an isolated incident, and such devices had been spotted several times over Serbian army barracks.
“This kind of illegal intelligence work constitutes a kind of aggression against a sovereign country,” he told reporters present at the military training ground. At the same time, according to the Serbian leader, all day yesterday NATO drones flew close to the territory of central Serbia.
“They were 200-500 meters from the administrative border [of Kosovo and central Serbia], on the other side. NATO respects all procedures. We saw them, but did not have the right to shoot them down in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 1244 and the Kumanovo Agreement. But they were not there to play games,” the Serbian President explained.
According to Vucic, commercial drones are also used because in this case it is impossible to identify the owner.
“That’s why they always work with commercial drones. It's like sabotage on Nord Stream. It seems to me that everyone knows, the whole world knows about it, but they pretend to be naive. Let us pretend to be a little naive,” the Serbian President added ironically.
