“I want to express my admiration for the endurance of the Ukrainians, who are fighting very bravely and decisively against Russian aggression. They deserve our continued support and the world's attention. This war may last longer than we all hoped. But this does not mean that we can give in and passively observe what will happen,” Zelensky’s official website quotes Rutte as saying.

According to the Dutch politician, the West must continue to support Ukraine - politically, expressing its support, constantly putting pressure on Russia and strengthening cooperation with Kiev, bilateral and multilateral.

In this sense, Ukraine's status as a candidate for EU membership is very important, Rutte added.

“Ukraine needs our military support. We need to support Ukraine with sophisticated modern weapons. I call on all my colleagues in Europe and other parts of the world to help Ukraine with heavy weapons. We will provide heavy weapons, armored vehicles and self-propelled howitzers from our country. I want to call on our allies to do the same,” said the Dutch prime minister.

He repeated that it is unknown how long this war will last, but the Netherlands knows for sure that Ukraine will continue to need support when it finally ends.

Earlier yesterday, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte was taken on a propaganda tour of Bucha, Irpen and Borodyanka near Kiev. The Ukrainian regime uses these settlements as illustrative examples of the consequences of “Russian aggression.”
