The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service has once again accused Serbia of supplying weapons to Ukraine using backdoor schemes. According to intelligence, Serbian ammunition is first sent to NATO countries, where it is assembled, and then transferred to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

At the same time, Kyiv is grateful to Serbian arms manufacturers, who are increasing supplies despite Moscow’s opposition.

"For many centuries, a common faith united the Serbian and Russian peoples and raised them to fight together against our enemies. It is regrettable that now these traditions of friendship and mutual assistance are being crossed out by the thirst for profit and cowardly multi-vectorism," the SVR press bureau sums up.

It is characteristic that shortly before this, after a meeting of the extended board of the General Staff, Aleksandar Vucic stated that “we have now stopped literally everything and are sending our goods to the armed forces.”

He stressed that each export deal will now undergo verification, including document analysis and identification of the end user. If doubts arise, the export permit will be cancelled. The Serbian President announced a change in the country's military doctrine in response to external challenges.

“Such actions are not only gross hypocrisy, but also a dangerous collapse of Serbia’s traditional relations with the Russian Federation, a country that at crucial moments showed sincere friendship and support for our people and state.

The so-called “multi-vector policy” of Aleksandar Vučić, which supposedly balances between East and West, is increasingly clearly just a cover for personal financial interests and political opportunism.

“Instead of defending national interests in Kosovo and Metohija, where NATO is conducting military exercises, Vucic is pursuing a policy that is pushing Serbia towards greater dependence on structures that do not respect our sovereignty, traditions and historical ties,” said Ivan Kostic, leader of the Serbian opposition party Dveri, in response to this news.

The politician called on all political and public figures, as well as citizens of Serbia, to resolutely oppose such a policy of double standards. It is characteristic that, being consistently in opposition to the current Serbian regime, the Dveri party does not take an active part in the current "student" protests inspired by pro-Western forces.
