Ukrainian Ambassador to Israel deceived Poroshenko about Yanukovych
The Secretary of the Jerusalem Patriarchate, Archbishop Aristarchus of Constantine, confirms that the Jerusalem Patriarchate sent a letter to the President of Ukraine in December last year calling for the use of “all opportunities for peace” in Ukraine, including the possible participation of Viktor Yanukovych in achieving it.
Aristarchus said this in a comment to the Ukrainian News news agency.
It is noteworthy that earlier the Ambassador of Ukraine to Israel Gennady Nadolenko claimed that this letter was allegedly withdrawn, and the information about sending the document to Poroshenko was fake.
“The Patriarch of Jerusalem did not write anything. But then it (the letter) was withdrawn, and it did not go anywhere. This is all pure fake news...No one contacted anyone,” said the ambassador.
He also claimed that the Patriarch of Jerusalem did not know about the existence of this letter.
At the same time, the secretary of the Jerusalem Patriarchate denied the words of the Ukrainian diplomat.
“Yes, there is such a letter. This is true...We were not asked to return the letter,” said Archbishop Aristarchon of Constantine.
He also gave the publication a copy of the letter with the relevant initiatives.
