After meeting with Volker, Trump adviser saw a chance for peace in Donbass
National Security Adviser to the US President John Bolton believes that there are new opportunities for peace in Donbass thanks to the election of Vladimir Zelensky as President of Ukraine.
Bolton announced this on his Twitter page.
On his Twitter, Bolton announced a meeting with the US State Department Special Representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker. “We discussed the situation in Ukraine, and we both agreed that the election of Vladimir Zelensky as president creates new opportunities for peace in Donbass,” wrote the adviser to Donald Trump.
In turn, Bolton called the improvement of the situation in eastern Ukraine the most important condition for improving relations between Moscow and Washington. “But it is very important that Russia also fulfills its part (of obligations) and seriously deals with this issue,” he added.
