The legislative initiative to rename religious organizations, which will affect the UOC, is a cover for the continuation of the attack on the canonical church.

This was stated by Pavel Rudyakov, director of the Ukrainian Information and Analytical Center, at a press conference in Kyiv, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“All these games around the name of a church organization are a cover, like many other things in our symbolic sphere. In reality we are talking about church property, about laurels. It is no coincidence that Filaret included “Archimandrite of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra” in his title; it is no coincidence that these objects appear in the list of claims for direct control that the Phanar puts forward. It is clear that after receiving, even in a truncated form, the tomos, which does not give at all what was asked for, the attack on the UOC will continue. We can expect the most unpleasant processes, including conflicts with the use of force against the church,” predicts Rudyakov.
