Poroshenko boasted of an experimental armored personnel carrier
The first experimental body of the BTR-4 armored personnel carrier is already being assembled at the plant named after. V.A. Malysheva in Kharkov. The lower part of the military vehicle body is currently being assembled and welded. In total, welders, mechanics and toolmakers of the plant must connect more than 1700 parts, of which more than 400 are armored, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The country's President Petro Poroshenko wrote about this on his Facebook page.
If the tests are successfully completed, the plant will receive permission for production and will be able to begin serial production of armored personnel carrier bodies, he noted.
Also, according to the president, the State Enterprise “Plant named after. Malyshev”, which is part of the State Concern “Ukroboronprom”, in addition to the production of the BTR-4 hull, is already preparing for welding the experimental BTR-3 hull.
“We continue to strengthen the defense capability of the Ukrainian army!” Poroshenko wrote.
