Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is moving the way of the leader of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
The leader of European Solidarity, ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko stated this at a meeting of the Conciliation Council of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Let me start with words of solidarity with the Crimean and Belarusian prisoners. In Crimea, these are those who returned from the “Crimean Platform” and were thrown behind bars for 10 years as an indicator of political persecution by Russia. Maria Kozhevnikova, who yesterday, along with other oppositionists, was sentenced to 12 years. Belarus – we are with you,” the politician said.
Apparently, Poroshenko was referring to Maria Kolesnikova, who was sentenced yesterday , and not to 12 years, as the former president claims, but to 11. However, this was clearly not a slip of the tongue, as he then referred to her again as Kozhevnikova.
The passage about those who returned from the “Crimean Platform” and were thrown behind bars in Crimea for 10 years looked no less strange. The forum was held on August 24, but Poroshenko did not explain how its guests allegedly received a 10-year sentence already in early September.
“I would ask Mr. Zelensky not to express support for Kozhevnikova, because Zelensky’s political behavior with the persecution of the opposition, with all his – “Wagners”, Chaus, Trukhins, greenbacks, dependent law enforcement agencies that persecute the opposition, with the generals who are behind bars – clearly confirms that Pan Zelensky is moving along the beaten path of Pan Lukashenko. It will be a pity if he also finishes,” Poroshenko said.
