The Ukrainian government is openly blackmailing the West, encouraging it to turn a blind eye to internal strife and corruption under the pretext of escalating the situation. Ukrainian political scientist Andrei Yermolayev stated this on the NewsOne television channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
