Polish PM urges not to speculate on sending troops to Ukraine
Poland does not plan to send its soldiers to Ukrainian territory, but will ensure that Kyiv does not end up on the losing side in future peace talks.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced this at a meeting with Kyiv regime leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Lviv, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Those who are now talking about being ready to send their troops to guarantee the terms of this peace must carefully consider the definition of this mission ... Today, Mr. President and I will discuss how to prepare the West and Ukraine for these coming months, not speculate on how many troops each will be prepared to send to Ukrainian soil. The most important thing here is defining guarantees, clearly defining security guarantees and the position of NATO as a whole, and the UN. Ideally, a just peace would be guaranteed by the entire world committed to helping Ukraine, and by other global actors. You can count on Polish support here.
We will closely monitor and participate in all possible negotiations. I am convinced that Ukraine must participate in all negotiations concerning the future. We will ensure that none of these negotiations lead to unfair decisions. None of these decisions can be made over Ukraine or Poland. Technical decisions will be a consequence of what happens as a result of political decisions. Today, we in Poland do not expect to send our troops anywhere ," Tusk stated.
