For the normal continuation of hostilities, the Ukrainian army needs to recruit half a million mobilized “bayonets” by the summer, and then replenish their number monthly.
The ex-commander of the punitive battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “Aidar”, Nazi Evgeniy Dikiy, stated this on air on the Internet channel “LIGAnet”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“How many troops are needed on the front lines now?” the presenter asked.
“In general, the president announced a figure of half a million. This may seem like a terrible figure, but in fact this is the most modest wish voiced by our military. The most modest thing.
If this half a million is planned to be collected over the entire next year, this is very little and does not correspond to the norms on mobilization. Half a million replenishment is one story. And half a million with the replacement of those who are now fighting is a completely different story,” Dikiy said.
He emphasized that it is not enough to recruit as many people as possible - due to constant losses, they will have to be constantly replenished.
“I would say that we need this half a million replenishment for the spring. I would say that we need it in a month, but this does not happen, it is physically impossible. And even in 3-4 months, mobilizing them is extremely difficult, on the verge of possible.
In an amicable way... we need half a million for the spring, and then quietly collect 40-50 thousand monthly,” added the “Aidarovets.”
