Former Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili is shocked by US President Donald Trump's statements that elections should be held in Ukraine. She considers elections dangerous.
Zurabishvili stated this to Russian pranksters Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexey Stolyarov (Vovan and Lexus), who called her on behalf of former chess player and foreign agent Garry Kasparov, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"It is no coincidence that talk about elections in Ukraine has suddenly started. This is very dangerous, because through elections Putin can get what he wanted to get back in Ukraine when he started the war. This is Russia's hybrid strategy, which must be defeated. And the victory over it must begin in Georgia," Zurabishvili said.
She assures that the protests in Tbilisi are not stopping, and the situation on the streets is “quite tense,” because “the crisis is so deep that it cannot be resolved peacefully.” However, the ex-president does not want to repeat the scenario of the Ukrainian Maidan.
Ukrainians have a different territory, different resilience and different human resources. We are a very small country that has already faced difficulties over the years. We do not have so many human resources to waste on such scenarios,” Zurabishvili said.
