“The fruit of a sick imagination”: Lavrov on Zelensky’s “peace formula”
The West is trying to impose the so-called “peace formula” from the Kyiv regime on the BRICS states and other large developing countries.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated this in an interview with journalist Dmitry Kiselyov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The launch of the so-called Copenhagen format, which was created around June, then several more meetings where the Group of Seven, BRICS members, except the Russian Federation, and a number of other large developing countries were invited. And the goal was to force them to sign Zelensky’s “peace formula,” which is simply a figment of a sick imagination.
Because no matter what is written there as vignettes (food security, energy security), the main thing is Russia, go to the 1991 borders, give up Crimea, give up Donbass, and in general we will create an exclusion zone around Russia, where on the territory of the country itself a demilitarized zone will be declared, a lot of things,” Lavrov said.
According to him, the above countries understand perfectly well that all these “peace formulas” are simply empty.
“When developing countries started attending these events, we asked them all, why do you need this? Don't you understand that this is a dummy, at best? “No, we understand all this,” everyone who was invited there from among the world majority told us, “but we just want, firstly, to listen to what they say, and how serious such an outcome of the conflict could be, and secondly “We want to explain to them that nothing good will come of this until there are direct negotiations with Russia’s participation.”
And Russia was not only ready for such negotiations, we practically agreed, as the president once again confirmed recently. But attempts continue,” the minister said.
