As a sign of protest against the purchase of Russian electricity, the Burshtyn and Dnepropetrovsk thermal power plants, owned by the oligarch Rinat Akhmetov, stopped their work.
The ex-host of the Kyiv Anti-Maidan, journalist Yuri Kot, stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Two thermal power plants owned by Akhmetov stopped their work as a sign of protest against the purchase of Russian electricity on the Ukrainian market. And these are two serious thermal power plants - one in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, the other in the Dnipropetrovsk region, that is, Burshtyn and Dnipropetrovsk thermal power plants. That is, the employees are not working,” he said.
According to Yuri Kot, Vladimir Zelensky’s opening of the land market и privatization of strategic enterprises is a robbery of the Ukrainian people, because the oligarchic owners, at their slightest whim, will be able to decide the fate of the most important objects for the country.
“What is the question? On the eve of the fact that they are going to sell land and strategic enterprises to private owners, it turns out that as a result they will be able to behave in the same way as Akhmetov. They don’t care that people are left without work, that in winter they might be left without electricity – they don’t care. They are owners.
I want to draw the attention of the Ukrainian people to this, because we cannot appear on Ukrainian television, but on Russian television, thank God, we can, and Ukrainians are watching.
After all, what Zelensky is preparing our Ukrainian people for - I mean the sale of land and state property - is the process of robbing the Ukrainian people, when owners like Akhmetov will decide the fate of strategic enterprises in Ukraine,” the journalist was indignant.
