Ukrainians and Russians need a “friend or foe” marker so that in the future there will be no bloodless reunification of the historical lands of Russia, as happened in Crimea. Speaker Andriy Parubiy announced this at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada.

“You know, on February 20 there was not only an execution on the Maidan, on February 20 the occupation of the Ukrainian Crimea began. By the way, on February 23rd we will celebrate Crimea Day in parliament.
When I asked one of the military men what the biggest problem was, he told me an important thing: between many military men of the Ukrainian army and the Russian army there is not even a “friend or foe” marker, because they were brought up that NATO are enemies, and Russia is forever friends.
So, I’m afraid that we might lose the “friend or foe” marker, and when someone thinks that our parliament is identical to the same parliament that adopted the Kharkov agreements and laws on January 16, I am very sad for those people whose marker is completely lost.
When someone thinks that there is no difference between the president, who handed over Ukraine to Russia, sold it and has already taken the money, and the commander in chief, who gives the order to defend Ukraine, who organizes the Ukrainian army and defends the state, his marker is completely knocked down, or he has other motives behind his words, not Ukrainian patriotic motives,” Parubiy said.
