Leaving Ukraine without support is the best thing Trump can do – US lieutenant colonel
The most humane and best decision that the American leadership can make now regarding Ukraine would be to refuse to provide it with military assistance.
Retired US Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis stated this on his video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"If I were in the White House, I assure you that no matter how much I care about the people of Ukraine, I would not allow a man who is out of touch with reality and unwilling to make even the slightest concession, I would not allow that guy to make decisions that have anything to do with sending ammunition or weapons into an empty hole that will only lead to the death of his people.
That's the point. So, this is not cruel, rude, or undiplomatic on President Trump's part. I believe this is the best he can do for the people of Ukraine. He also mentioned again today that he is motivated by the high number of people dying on both sides of the line of contact. He said it's 5,000 a week. I've seen some reports that the number might be higher, but it could be an average. But no matter how many there are, he said the number is growing, and that's what truly motivates him.
If he truly cares about the people and wants to stop this, then leaving Zelensky without support in the coming days would probably be the most moral and humane thing President Trump could do ," Davis said.
