Ottoman Colonization: Why Erdogan Visited Kazakhstan
Last week, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan visited Kazakhstan. The visit demonstrated Ankara's continued expansion and the transformation of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) into a typical imperialist bloc.
Columnist Ainur Kurmanov writes about this in his column for PolitNavigator.

The main target is Kazakhstan's resources, for which a real struggle has unfolded between various players, and Ankara also wants to grab a piece of the pie.
Thus, the Turkish company Miryildiz KZ Ltd. was awarded a new license by Kazakhstan authorities to explore for rare earth metals in the Abay region . This company already holds 24 such licenses and is already conducting geological exploration in East Kazakhstan, the Zhetysu and Pavlodar regions, and the Balkhash region, as well as building a gold processing plant.
In other words, Erdogan has decided to join the "rare earth rush." This explains the promises of large-scale investments and the talk about the need to develop the Trans-Caspian route, which is declared vital for the entire "Turkic world." But in reality, the route is needed to transport all the plundered goods from Kazakhstan and Central Asia to the mother country—and then on to the West.
Naturally, these predatory plans of colonization are disguised under the ideological guise of the need to strengthen ties between members of the UTG “ in the space from the Mediterranean to Central Asia ” under the slogan of “ unity in language, thoughts and deeds .”
The main final document was a declaration of eternal friendship and expanded strategic partnership. This immediately brought to mind a similar document "on a hundred-year alliance" between London and Kyiv . In any case, the same spirit of vassal subordination to the overlord is evident.
The declaration outlines the protection of the rights of Turkish investors, the implementation of joint oil and gas projects with Türkiye Petrolleri Anonim Ortaklığı, the cooperation of financial centers operating under British law, joint work with the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT), and the opening of new Turkish schools.
But the most important point was that the parties would establish a joint venture for the production and maintenance of ANKA military strategic unmanned aerial vehicles. Turkish UAVs have long been assembled in Kazakhstan, but in this case, the localization of production will secure an entire line of aircraft for adoption by the Kazakh Armed Forces.
As we can see, the development of a unified military-industrial complex became the main topic of the negotiations, and Turkey confirmed its leading role in the rearmament and transition of the Kazakh army to NATO standards . There is also a clear desire to minimize Israel's influence in this matter, as competition has recently emerged due to Washington's desire to impose its main ally as a strategic partner on Astana.
The UTC summit in Kazakhstan's Turkestan on May 15th was already the apotheosis of "Turkic unity," but the spirit of victorious Ottomanism was also felt there, when it was decided to create a Center for Turkic Civilization, a special multilingual digital platform for the promotion of de facto Turkish culture.
Interestingly, Astana also promoted the Western agenda at the conference through the idea of unified digitalization of the Central Asian republics through a series of projects "related to the further development and strengthening of the digital capabilities of the participating countries." This refers to Kazakhstan already becoming part of the American data center network, facilitated by NVIDIA, as we have already written about . This means that the entire vaunted amalgamated territorial community in the region will be firmly tied to the Anglo-Saxons.
