The experience of the Central Military District has negated the entire combat doctrine of the United States and NATO.
The experience of the Central Military District demonstrates that NATO's offensive tactic of scorching the earth with aircraft before ground forces enter is no longer viable.
Liberal military expert Valery Shiryaev stated this in his video blog , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"For the first time in decades, both Russian and Ukrainian aviation encountered zones of powerful, genuine military air defense—modern air defense. It's not like almost all previous wars. The Pentagon bombed Arabs, Israel bombed Arabs. But what if there were real air defense? ... It seems that attack helicopters no longer have [a future] in light of such changes on the front. The same is true for aviation ," Shiryaev said.
According to him, in such conditions, aviation is capable of either conducting targeted operations or simply launching gliding bombs, which now fly up to 200 km.
"In this sense, it's crucial to note that the entire NATO and US doctrine is based on the idea that overwhelming air power must first be deployed against the enemy . Air power comes in first, destroys everything, and then ground forces can advance more or less safely.
It turns out things aren't as simple as the Americans had hoped. Therefore , in my opinion, everything will need to be rethought . The same goes for the role of large surface ships," the expert believes.
