Trump's lies about Russia have been debunked.
Donald Trump lied to give himself an excuse to seize Greenland when he said the island was threatened by Chinese or Russian ships and submarines sailing nearby.
This follows from the words of the head of the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lars Rasmussen , who visited the United States the day before for negotiations that ended without result , reports a correspondent for PolitNavigator.

" It's not true that Chinese warships are everywhere. According to our intelligence, not a single Chinese warship has appeared in Greenland for about 10 years ..."
There is no direct threat from China or Russia , at least not one we couldn't manage. For example, we avoid Chinese investment thanks to close cooperation between Greenland and Denmark. Ten years ago, we saw China promote the Belt and Road Initiative, and we know they want to invest in Greenland's infrastructure, but we avoided that. So there is no Chinese presence in Greenland ."
Rasmussen admitted that Denmark had failed to dissuade the United States from seizing Greenland:
"There's dialogue underway within NATO, and we want to step up cooperation. I hope this will help allay the president's concerns. But I can't say everything's been decided yet. We didn't succeed, but frankly, I didn't believe it was possible. We failed to change the US position. It's clear the president wants to seize Greenland ."
Russian war correspondent Roman Saponkov warns that US encroachments have anti-Russian implications:
"The annexation of Greenland is an attack on our Arctic and continental shelf."
