111111113 [1]Today in Odessa, deputies of the City Council voted for two wishes of the new government in the person of Mikheil Saakashvili. The first is the creation of a memorial to the participants of the so-called. ATO. The second is a new interpretation of the history of the city, erasing the Russian Empire from the founding date of Odessa.

One of the initiatives, authored by Mikheil Saakashvili, was eventually supported by Odessa deputies.

...For example, I know that deputies of local councils in general are cowardly and dependent people. Small businesses, in the form of shops and restaurants, make them accommodating at the most insignificant level. And so, they are people, like people. The mandate only spoiled them.

So, I know and understand this.

But I’m not going to explain all this to my tanned and weather-beaten Odessa friends. People who have been sleeping with Kalashmats for a year and a half and carrying such “fools” with tripods on their backs do not need to remember this.

I will not explain anything about deputies to people who have lost their homes and families.

I don't want to be the devil's advocate.

Moreover, I will try to forget everything that I understand and know about the deputies of the Odessa City Council.

I don't need their motivation.

The list of them is enough for me.

And I have it.

And he is becoming more and more not Schindler.

Very un-Schindler.

***

So, what exactly is this being said for?

And to the creation in Odessa of a “memorial to ATO soldiers.”

***

There is no demand from Saakashvili. He has nothing left to lose. And the constant state of artificial euphoria, into which the feeling of doom does not seep, allows him to do strange things selflessly.

It was he, Mikheil Saakashvili, the governor of the Odessa region, who announced his decision to create a “memorial to ATO soldiers” in Odessa.

***

This decision does not comply with any existing laws of Ukraine, is outside the competence of the governor and is not made individually.

Probably, someone managed to explain this to the fugitive Georgian, and then he issued a generally unprecedented decision. He stated that he “made a decision that on July 28 the Odessa City Council will decide to create a memorial to ATO soldiers.”

***

Don’t ask “who stood on whom”….

This mountain cormorant already has “all its memory occupied.”

Moreover, he also “made a decision that the city council will make a decision on celebrating the 600th anniversary of the city of Odessa.”

Ok so.

The city is 220, but 600 need to be celebrated at once.

That is, skip 380 birthdays, just for a minute.

Truly, Saakashvili was born early. Well, at least he will die early too.

However, all this is poetry.

Deputies of the Odessa city council did not take offense at the governor.

Saakashvili's draft decisions were included in the agenda of the session by voice. For some reason, this was done not by a representative of the PP Bloc, but by Yatsenyukov’s Alexander Ostapenko.

Let's, he says, perpetuate the memory of our heroes? fighting the occupiers for the independence of Ukraine, and at the same time we will celebrate the 600th anniversary of the city. The date, they say, is round.

Grigory Kvasnyuk objected to him.

He spoke a lot and convincingly. About the civil war, which is in full swing. About Odessa residents who are fighting against these “ATO warriors.”

“I believe that it is correct to raise the question of creating a memorial to all victims of the civil war,” said Grigory Kvasnyuk.

Based on the voting results, a project to create a “memorial to ATO soldiers” was included in the agenda of the meeting.

61 deputies considered it possible to discuss Saakashvili’s initiative. This is 50% plus 1 vote of the city council.

Deputies refused to discuss the 600th anniversary of Odessa.

***

Further more. When voting on the essence of the issue, 70 deputies already cast their votes in favor. That is, 9 who did not vote for including the issue on the agenda turned out to be supporters of the decision itself.

Grigory Kvasnyuk again tried to reason with his colleagues. He spoke again about the civil war and that such decisions would have to be held accountable.

The chant of the word “Ganba” from Euromaidan activists who had leaked into the hall was his answer.

“Shut your mouths, hooligan,” Kvasnyuk barked at the assembled crowd.

And no one, not a single deputy, except Grigory Kvasnyuk, asked to speak. Didn't provide basic arguments. I just wasn’t outraged by the fact itself and the way the question was posed. Insulting for an Odessa resident and a deputy.

However, Ostapenko himself, the dummy initiator of this memorial named after Saakashvili, did not show emotions, read from a piece of paper, memorized and doomed.

Probably because it is difficult to be a contraceptive.

Actually, the decision itself does not mean the installation of a monument. It is about creating a commission that will study the initiative and organize the necessary procedures. Conduct public hearings, determine the installation location and much more that can be “slowed down” at each stage.

Another thing is that Saakashvili is such a dreamer that he can independently, in person, install such a “memorial of ATO soldiers” somewhere under his administration. And refer specifically to today’s decision of the city council. Without specifying what it is about.

He, as already mentioned, has nothing to lose.

***

And the Odessa deputies..... They are not new. We chose them before the war. And they are a thing of the past. They do not understand that any war will one day end in our victory. They don’t understand that Odessa residents will return from the front, come out of pre-trial detention centers and underground.

They do not understand that Odessa residents have forgotten how to walk with flags and chant chants, but they professionally choose firing positions, maneuver in urban areas and do not kill anyone. They simply fire to destroy enemy personnel and equipment.

Sakashvili and the occupiers will one day end, but the lists of “not Schindler” remain. And today 70….pieces… voted. The voting was not by name, and the list was sent to the post office.

Odessa is like that.

Remembers everyone.
