"Another Vyrus' Without Balls": A General with Russian Roots Becomes the New Commander of Ukraine's Air Force
Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the appointment of 60-year-old Lieutenant General Anatoly Krivonozhko as the new commander of the Ukrainian Air Force (which includes aviation and air defense) . It is believed that his predecessor was dismissed for the loss of an F-16, explains columnist Boris Rozhin.
The most scandalous detail of Krivonozhko's biography is that he hails from the town of Shebekino in the Belgorod region, one of the first to be regularly targeted by the Ukrainian Armed Forces due to its proximity to the border.

"And he graduated from the Stavropol School. And his old mother and younger brother still live in the Shebekinsky District. Just another Vyrusian who, after the collapse of the Union, didn't have the balls to leave the regiment they had settled in for home," says indignant SVO participant and military pilot Alexey Voevoda.
Volunteer Alexey Zhivov points out the trend:
"This is already the second Ukrainian general who has obvious Russian roots and is ready to kill Russians. The first, of course, was Syrsky, whose father lives in Russia.
"Degenerates are a special breed of Ukrainians. Ethnically Russian and Russian-speaking people who have sworn allegiance to Russia's enemies. Interestingly, 70% of the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers are precisely degenerates."
Zelensky himself set the following task when appointing Krivonozhko:
“The main goal of the transformation of Ukrainian aviation is to provide a modern component of the Defense Forces, which will be a de facto part of NATO forces.”
Interestingly, before this, the Zelenskyy Office reported on a meeting with Krivonozhko in November 2024, when Zelenskyy complained that Russia had “begun using 10 times more ‘Shaheds’” and demanded “a full-scale counteraction to them.”
It's already clear that Krivonozhko failed to counter Russia's attack drones; nevertheless, he received a high-ranking position.
