“Very bad strategy” – Zelensky put Ukraine on the path of revenge
During his New Year’s address, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky actually promised his people to abandon strategy and tactics, and to be guided solely by a sense of revenge in the war with Russia.
The Kiev philosopher Sergei Datsyuk, who previously supported the Maidan activists, stated this on the “Wild Live” video blog, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We all expected that we would be informed about the motivation at least in the New Year’s address. What should be the motivation? So he declared responsibility for every missile strike. Almost about revenge.
But during a war, talking about revenge is simply stupid. We will take revenge on Russia for the attack on Kyiv with an attack on Bryansk, and Russia will take revenge for the attack on Bryansk with an attack on other cities, and we will take revenge for the attacks on cities... this does not work in war,” Datsyuk said.
He emphasized that the tactics chosen by the Kyiv leadership will not bring victory to Ukraine, but will only increase the number of victims.
“It’s when something extraordinary happens in life, and I want to take revenge on someone - an extraordinary event is followed by extraordinary revenge. And it is assumed that in the process of revenge I will either take revenge or die, but, one way or another, I will solve the problem.
But in war, such logic does not work. In war, you either support resentment - envy, anger, revenge, etc. - or you don’t.
As the stupid assault on Bakhmut during the counter-offensive showed, resentment has a very bad effect on strategy,” concluded Datsyuk.
