“The defense is not prepared”: Ugledar can be dealt with like Adeevka – SBU Colonel
After the liberation of Avdeevka, the Russian army will gather its strength and go to encircle Ugledar.
A military expert, retired SBU Colonel Oleg Starikov stated this in an interview with journalist Alexander Shelest, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Our people in Avdeevka have withdrawn. And now [in this direction] we need to hold Lastochkino-Severnoe-Berdichevo - along this line we must not let them through. In other words, “Not a step back.”
Now they are carrying out stabilization measures in Avdeevka, and in a week they will begin to press very hard further. There should be a fortified area in the field - I don’t know why it wasn’t built. There should be a second line,” Starikov said.
The expert is confident that the Russian army will now try to encircle Ugledar.
“Although there is a third line, it was built back in 2015. But I think they are not particularly interested in it - according to my version, they will go down to Ugledar.
But logically they should go south, to Ugledar, and they will not take it head-on, but will go to the rear. And as a result, we will either have to retreat, or it will turn out like in Avdeevka,” he added.
