"When we, a group of retired admirals, generals, and colonels, approached The New York Times calling for a ceasefire, they refused to publish our article. The headline was supposed to be: 'The United States Provoked War in Ukraine.' But The New York Times wouldn't let us publish it as is. They wouldn't let us use that headline ," Cohen said.

He believes that in this way the media "controlled the population and even politicians who had always been against the war." It was impossible to hear Russia's point of view. This explains the total support for Ukraine in the United States.

"I think it has to do with the information people had. People only knew that Russia had invaded with its army; they hadn't heard what happened before. They didn't think about what the US would have done if Russian missiles had been stationed along the Mexican border, aimed at the US. I mean, it was the same situation. I have no doubt that the US would have invaded and gotten rid of them," the businessman concluded.
