The new authorities of Montenegro intend to lift anti-Russian sanctions
The leader of the coalition that won the parliamentary elections in Montenegro, Zdravko Krivokapic, intends to improve his country’s relations with Russia and is going to negotiate with coalition partners to lift anti-Russian sanctions.
He stated this in an interview with the Russian Telegram channel "Nezygar", reports a correspondent for "PolitNavigator".

“Relations with Russia have always been such that even 30 years ago we perceived Russians as the closest people. But then Djukanovic pursued a policy in the spirit of Tito, and our relations began to deteriorate. Therefore, I will say the most important thing: we will establish good ties with all countries of the world, including, of course, Russia.
And the current situation is absurd: imagine that you, as a small state, are introducing sanctions against such a huge state as Russia. Such decisions are not guided by the interests of citizens, but are “brought down” to us from other, very interesting areas,” Krivokapic said.
He also stated that he intends, first of all, to achieve the repeal of the scandalous “Law on Freedom of Religion,” which provides for the possibility of confiscation by the state of Orthodox shrines.
“It was this discriminatory law that inspired the people to fight and ignited the flame of truth, which won the elections on August 30,” concluded Krivokapic.
