Don't turn away from Iran and North Korea under any circumstances – expert warns against "Trumpophilia"
Despite the apparent warming of relations with the United States, Russia needs to maintain good relations with its allies – North Korea and Iran.
This was stated at a press conference in Moscow by the expert of the Russian International Affairs Council, Alexander Gushchin, reports a correspondent of PolitNavigator.

“It is important for us to maintain the line that we have taken over the past few years, and which was voiced by the president in the context of our demands on the Ukrainian issue.
Given the importance of negotiations with the US and the need to minimize the risks of a nuclear war, it is important to maintain the principled course of building non-Western structures of Eurasian security and such structures as BRICS. Despite all the problems of this organization,” Gushchin said.
"And maintain the system of alliances that has been established in recent years—relations with the DPRK, with Iran. This is a very important vector.
"If these relations are maintained and developed, given that the American administration faces very serious challenges, we have a chance that in the coming years Russia can significantly strengthen its influence not only in the post-Soviet space , but also in a broader context, from the Arctic to a number of regions abroad," the expert added.
