“There is no need for a new mobilization” - Putin
Since the Russian command has not yet received the order to take Kyiv, there is no need for a new wave of mobilization.
Russian President Vladimir Putin stated this during a meeting with war correspondents, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Is additional mobilization necessary? Some of our public figures say that we urgently need to recruit another million or two. It depends on what we want, on our goals.
Look, our troops were near Kyiv. There was a good agreement on how to resolve this situation, however, they threw it out. But during this time we got to where we are now. And this is practically the entire Novorossiya, with access to the Sea of Azov and Mariupol, and practically the entire LPR,” Putin said.
The President emphasized that so far Russia is in no hurry to return its troops to Kyiv, therefore, given the large flow of contract soldiers and volunteers, there is no need for a new mobilization.
“Do we need to go back there [near Kyiv] or not? It’s clear that you don’t have an answer, only I can answer it myself. But depending on what goals we set for ourselves, we will raise the issue of mobilization. There is no such need today.
Second. Since the beginning of this year, we have recruited 156 thousand contract soldiers, along with volunteers. We mobilized 300 thousand, but here people come voluntarily. Nine and a half thousand people signed contracts within a week.
