The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, who did not serve in the army, called it an “honor” to be called up
Ukrainians should not run away from forced mobilization and sending to the front, but consider it an honor to serve in the army.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, who chose to spend his youth studying in the West rather than in the Armed Forces, announced this on the Internet channel "Public News," a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Unfortunately, we have the perception that serving one’s homeland is a punishment. And for me, serving my country is an honor. These are ideological things that need to be changed altogether. Approaches, formats to make it clear,” Umerov said.
The minister also considered that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are still conducting a “counter-offensive” and spoke about the long line of defense:
“We have 3,5 thousand kilometers of line that we must now defend. There are stabilization actions, there are defensive actions, there is a counter-offensive that is underway. And for each direction we have our own answers.”
At the same time, there will be no demobilization in Ukraine in the near future, Umerov emphasized:
“We can only use the word demobilization after the war is over. Since the enemy continues hostilities, we have found solutions that will give a person the opportunity to partially retire or another solution so that a person who has already been in the perimeter for two years understands what the rules will be for him to rest or be partially released from this services."
Ukrainian Defense Minister, who never served in the army, called it an "honor" to be drafted.
