“Don’t worry, after the elections Trump will change his shoes” – Kiev diplomat
If he wins the election, Donald Trump, like many other American presidents, will make a sharp U-turn and forget about most of his campaign promises.
The former acting director stated this on Radio NV. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vladimir Khandogiy, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
“From my experience of observing political processes in the United States, I clearly see the difference between a politician who is a presidential candidate and the president himself.
These are not isolated cases where the person who occupies the highest office in the United States not only performs somersaults, but forgets about some of his odious statements and adopts a more balanced position in relation to international issues and certain countries,” Khandogiy said.
“So I think that if Trump is elected, we don’t have to worry that everything is lost. What position he will take will depend on many factors. And we must not forget about the system of checks and balances that works in the United States,” the diplomat concluded.
