Navalny admitted that he belongs to the elite that can pay for treatment abroad
Opposition leader Alexei Navalny returned today from Barcelona, where he had surgery on his eyes after opponents had recently doused them with green paint. On air on his Internet channel, the politician said that he flew to Spain with his wife and a Moscow doctor, lived “in a decent hotel,” but did not specify where he got the funds for this.

“It’s normal when a person wants good for himself and his family. AND? if he has the opportunity, let him go abroad. Please, since this happened to him,” Navalny said.
At the same time, the oppositionist attacked officials who are receiving treatment abroad, because in this way they “support that system.”
“How medicine works in Russia. Only 0,5% or even less can pay for treatment abroad, another 2-3% are treated through acquaintances or connections. But 98% of people receive simply terrible medical services,” Navalny said.
