NATO has already invoked Article 5 against Russia – Trukhan
Western countries effectively invoked Article 5 of the NATO Charter when they began to help Ukraine in the war.
This was stated on the air of the PolitWera channel by retired colonel of the central apparatus of the Ministry of Defense Vladimir Trukhan, reports a correspondent of PolitNavigator.
"In fact, NATO has already included its fifth article. In fact, everything that NATO is doing now to support Ukraine is the implementation of the fifth article of the charter, where each country independently determines the format of participation in military actions.
They participate in supply, repair, training of troops, and all that stuff. This all fits into the fifth article of the NATO charter,” Trukhan noted.
"So, in fact, they're fighting us through Ukraine, implementing Article 5. Yes, they've now reached the point where they can't continue [supplying Ukraine], but that's a different matter.
And everyone expected that the US would eventually start getting involved in this story. Trump showed us that the most he can do is sign off on a deal,” he concluded.
