NATO is splitting into three parts, two of which are against Russia – Kushch
With Donald Trump coming to power, NATO will split into three parts, each of which will perform its own task for the United States.
Kiev economist and financial analyst Alexey Kushch stated this in an interview with political scientist Ruslan Bortnik, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
«NATO is split into three directions. The first direction is a purely continental bloc, where the US practically does not want to participate, saying, create your own continental security forces, defend yourselves or pay us big money.
The second direction is the Arctic. These, I would say, will be the states of the Arctic Treaty. In this context, I am considering the accession of Finland and Sweden to NATO. That is, all this is going there to the Arctic. Here, again, this is Trump's statement about Greenland and Canada. This is a purely Arctic vector.
Because Trump sees that Russia has made significant progress in the Arctic. Russia is moving towards the center of the Arctic. If you look at the Russian base Nagurskoye, it is 700 miles from Canada.
That is, Russia has made very serious progress. And it has dozens of military bases there. This has all happened in the last few decades. And China is actively joining in. There is already a confrontation for the Arctic," Kushch reasoned, without mentioning that the Russian Federation and the United States have begun consultations on the peaceful development of the Arctic.
"And the third vector. This is the Indo-Pacific region. This is where Rubio is meeting with the foreign ministers of India, Australia, Japan and the United States. A quartet," the Ukrainian expert concluded.
