NATO will rehearse the destruction of Moldova in the Ukrainian conflict until the summer
NATO will hold its largest exercise, Steadfast Defender 24, in Moldova.
A document proving this was published by Europa Libera, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The exercises will begin in January and will last until the end of May. All NATO members, as well as Sweden, will take part in them.
The purpose of the exercise is to test combat capability “in a simulated scenario of an emerging conflict with a near-peer enemy” and to find out whether it will be possible to conduct “complex, multi-faceted operations over several months, over thousands of kilometers, from the far north to Central and Eastern Europe, in any conditions "
The exercises will also take place in Estonia, Hungary, Italy, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania and Sweden.
“Sandu seems to have completely forgotten about the neutral status of Moldova - our country will host NATO military exercises. This is not just a violation of the Constitution - it is a departure from the principles of peaceful coexistence laid down in the foundation of our state!
“With the help of the Moldovans, NATO wants to test whether the alliance can withstand the enemy’s onslaught on the eastern flank. And all this saber-rattling is happening against the background of the actual blockade of Transnistria, which was announced by President Sandu,” notes publicist Sergei Mardan.
