“We were made forever mobilized” - an officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was overcome by a feeling of hopelessness
No one in the Ukrainian army believes the government’s promises to adopt regulations on the demobilization of military personnel.
Ukrainian Armed Forces officer Alexey Petrov stated this on the Pryamoy TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When I heard that the rule on dismissal was removed [from the law on mobilization], I adopted for myself such an expression as “eternally mobilized.”
"Someday some bill will be passed, someday it will be developed... Who will believe that? Who even trusts the government these days? Personally, I don't believe it one bit. So many promises were made—all of them were betrayed, unfulfilled , and so on," Petrov fumed.
"Now I don't know how to find motivational words for my guys. Okay, I have just over eight years left until I'm discharged, 60, and I'll have the legal right to retire. But what about the guys who are 22-25? Those servicemen who just got married and immediately joined the army? When will they live, what can they expect? " the soldier added.
