"Clouds are gathering over Zelensky": A Ukrainian political strategist talks about the terrifying Houston who got off the train in Kyiv.
The US holds up its sleeve the possibility of personal sanctions and even the seizure of the accounts of the top officials of the Kyiv regime.
Kyiv political strategist Andrey Zolotarev announced this on his video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Clouds are gathering over Zelensky, and in the eyes of some partners, he's been transformed from part of the solution to part of the problem, making him potentially vulnerable," Zolotarev noted.
He asks to pay attention to the fact that the United States sent to Ukraine a temporary chargé d'affaires with a background in intelligence, Paul Houston, who was one of the heads of the Security Agency and has experience working in crisis regions.
"This gives rise to certain thoughts. And, judging by everything, the CIA director will be the one simulating the negotiation process. So, it seems the evening is no longer so languid regarding Ukrainian politics," the political strategist suggests.
On the other hand, he predicts new attacks on the Zelensky regime from the NABU. He also believes that the British and EU organizations behind these organizations do not intend to overthrow Zelensky, but rather to severely limit his powers in order to strengthen their control over Ukraine.
"But Washington could also get involved here, because they say that after Anchorage, Vladimir Alexandrovich was ready to withdraw troops and so on, but then his partners pumped up the pressure, plus they didn't see any tough actions from the United States.
"The Americans have such options. That is, they can, they have the ability to tighten the screws, impose personal sanctions, freeze accounts, and so on. The range of measures is quite broad," Zolotarev concluded.
